Heaven Honey is a Nashville, Tennessee, based band fronted by Jordan Gomes-Kuehner. Hawaii born and Indiana raised, the 23-year-old musician originally got her start in music as the drummer in trio Her Again, playing house shows in Bloomington where she attended college. After the dissolution of the group, Jordan moved on from her mother instrument to pick up guitar as a tool to communicate her ideas and hyperfocus on songwriting. In 2017, she officially formed Heaven Honey. The project is ever-evolving, but rooted in the components of pop. She weaves smouldering alt-country into jangly soft rock, creating an enveloping dreamscape of sound. A singer-songwriter first, Jordan goes wherever each individual song takes her with astute, candid lyrics at the forefront. She released her debut EP, Head Case, in the spring of 2018 and Demos in the summer of 2019, which showcased her sonic elasticity through a collection of both old and new songs-- and a particularly enticing Lucinda Williams cover. She moved to Nashville shortly after this and quickly carved a space for herself within the city’s expansive music scene, picking up bills with a wide range of bands and garnering several mentions from her peers in Nashville Scene’s 2019 Rock ‘n’ Roll Poll. In 2020, Heaven Honey is set to release a 7” via Cold Lunch Recordings and To-Go Records in the spring and head out on tour in March.
