Safety Net is a new group from three Nashville scene mainstays, inspired by the cracked up krautrock of Swell Maps, Aussie DIY, Scottish post-punk, highlights of the Shimmy Disc catalog, etc., all filtered through the members’ hardcore/punk roots. Swapping vocal duties between members and collaboratively shaping the music and structure, Safety Net’s approach to the outer reaches of punk music is what feels most novel. The group comments on the joys, anxieties, spotlight and shadow of living in the remarketed New South. "Art" is their debut EP, available to stream now or purchase on limited edition cassette.
